DEVELOPING BRAND AND MARKETING STRATEGY FOR ONLINE JEWELRY BRAND

 

Background

 

An Peruvian entrepreneur with a background in finance started an online D2C jewelry brand with Peruvian made jewelry.

 

Assignment

 

Develop the brand and marketing strategy. With a partner we executed parts of the marketing strategy.

Role & Result

 

I did an audit of the brand and advised on how to improve the brand. A large part of the advice was related to the visual aspects of the brand as the available product images were not suitable for content and social media marketing. I also developed the tagline and made the social media pages more on-brand. We developed photography guidelines and organized photo shoots for product photography with and without a model.

 

I developed a marketing strategy with components like content marketing, social media marketing especially Instagram and Facebook marketing, Google Ads, Facebook Advertising, retargeting, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing etc.

 

As part of the marketing strategy we redesigned and restructured part of the Shopify website. We advised on switching to a WordPress/WooCommerce website as all the additional Shopify apps that were necessary for proper marketing, increased the monthly Shopify subscription cost tremendously.

During the 3-month process I coached the entrepreneur to become more marketing savvy.

 

Due to the limited budget of the client, only parts of the marketing strategy were executed by us.
